Had to bust out the camera tonight
Our girls were having a little too much fun tonight - had to bust out the camera.
"Listen, you. I told you no paparazzi!"

"Wait, the cover of Baby Glamour? One second..."

"Hi!"

"Man, did I just bring it, or what?"

"Oh, wait, listen. I have a really good story for you."

"Ahhh! My mind just went blank. I hate it when that happens."

"OK, got it. So I was fishing, and I hooked the bugger on the mouth, like this, and can I tell you... he was THIS big..."

"Well, I guess realistically he was more like this size..."

"She's hilarious."

Can I have a hand for the Divine Ms. S:

And another hand for the Sublime Ms. A:

Storyland 2009
So I'm taking a break from my regularly scheduled photoshoot blog to post a quick story/pics from our weekend trip to StoryLand with some wonderful friends. Their 14 month old Hayden had the best expressions...

and #3:

(Hehe, see what I mean?)
And last but not least, showing me his four teeth:
Even though they told me not to bring my camera so I wouldn't feel like I was working all weekend, I didn't listen - I had a chance to photograph my own kids for once... this time of year my girls are the cobbler's children... no photos, poor babies. ;) Had to jump at the chance. Here's my teenie Sadie, 4 1/2 months old and loving her own toes:

Grins from my girl:

Hayden, not sure what to make of Sadie:

And 4 year old Annie, giving Sadie a squeeze:

All the kiddos on a hotel bed:

And then at the very end of the weekend, as we headed to our cars, we stopped by a bush to grab a family shot - and Hayden was such a good model! We love you guys, thanks for a great weekend. And to my clients... tomorrow I'll be back to my regularly scheduled work!

Oh, but before I leave you, and lest you think I only shoot b&w on vacation... do not fear! I too, have a pocket-sized digital camera, and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland at Storyland gave the grown-ups an opportunity to be total weirdos and do rabbit impressions. Nice, eh?

Annie's skip
Skipping is the best. And here's our big girl wearing her favorite summer garb, complete with mary janes. Yes, all summer.

Mommy pix for Sadie's 3 month bday
So when Annie was 3 (or was it 4? not sure) months old, I visited a photographer's studio and had some pictures taken of her with me, so that I'd be documented somewhere in her childhood photographs. And as I wandered the mall with my girls last week, I realized I'd not only dressed them alike, but they were both in relatively good humor... why not go for it? This time I tried out Portrait Simple - their style has always appealed to me. Here's what we got. I love the fact that in the picture of the three of us, Sadie's cheeks actually square off her face, and are as low if not lower than her chin. LOVE this age.

First day of school
Annie's going to the summer program at her school again this year - it's a camp, but it's with her same teachers... she's so excited. Had to get the usual first-day-of-school shots. I can't believe how blond her hair has gotten!

Had to include Sadie in one full length shot - someday they'll be sooo embarrassed by this shot, but I'm going to try to do it each year. And try not to cry!

3 months old

Sadie's turning 3 months old in a few days, so we had to snap a few pics of her (with her beloved sis, of course). She's standing a ton, and usually smiles a huge smile when she stands. Her sister loves kissing her and squeezing her (sometimes, ok, usually, a bit too tight), and Sadie's a total trooper about it.
